While standing next to her horse, Hippie, Karen’s primary barrel horse, Johnny, came up from behind Hippie and spooked him. She felt a hard body slam, went 10 ft through the air into a metal gate, and landed on the ground. The impact left her unable to see and then she felt an enormous about of pressure on her upper right arm.
The sound of pop pop pop pop came ringing in her ears as the pressure gave way to an explosion of intense pain. Hippie had stomped on her arm, crushing it into 5 pieces. The top of the humerus was sheered off and embedded below a muscle. There were 3 sections completely crushed and the remainder of the bone attached to the elbow.
As a disabled USAF vet, she was transported to the VA hospital but sent home with pain medications in a sling. The only surgeon specialist that might could put her arm back together was booked for 2 weeks.
The doctor didn’t know if he could put the arm back together. He installed a large metal plate with 10 long screws, but didn’t think Karen would ever raise her arm above her shoulder again.
After 1.5 years of therapy, God healed it whereas she can praise the Lord with both arms raised high. Praise and glory to YHWH, our Father God on high!
