Karen use to barrel race. Terry’s Dash rounded a barrel and was too close to the can. Karen was thrown off balance as she leaned down attempted to save the can from going over. When she lost her balance, she ended up with both feet stuck in the stirrups on one side of the horse. All she could do was hold herself in a curled up state and trust God that the horse’s hooves did not kick her. Terry was not one to stop. She dragged Karen 90 feet before Karen came free of her horse by her feet falling out of her boots.

What is interesting is that in all these things, and in all the times that Karen has hit gates or cars or fencing coming off a horse, or been rolled over on, Karen has never been afraid. The Lord has always kept her calm inside and shown her what to do. We need to be able to hear that soft quiet voice of the Holy Spirit in any instance.
